West Texas Intermediate
Synonyms: WTI
West Texas Intermediate, “WTI” sometimes also known as Texas light sweet, is a method of grading crude oil which is used by global markets as a benchmark for setting oil prices.
WTI is described by experts as “light” because it has a comparatively low density, and it is known as “sweet” thanks to a relatively low sulphur content as opposed to other varieties.
