Moving Average Convergence Divergence
Synonyms: MACD
Moving Average Convergence Divergence (“MACD”) is a form of trend-following momentum indicator which purports to show the relationship between the price of two moving averages of a security’s price.
To calculate the MACD you subtract a security’s 26-period Exponential Moving Average (“EMA”) from its 12-period EMA.
