Robinhood Updates

Robinhood has confirmed its IRA 1% match program for Robinhood Gold subscribers, applied to eligible IRA contributions made through the platform. The match is deposited directly into the IRA - not subject to vesting - and applies to traditional, Roth, and rollover IRA account types.

The 1% match applies to net new contributions up to the annual IRA contribution limit ($7,000 for 2026, $8,000 for those 50 and over). Robinhood Gold costs $5 per month and also includes 5% APY on uninvested cash, margin at lower rates, and Level II Nasdaq data. The IRA match was challenged legally in 2024 by the SEC; Robinhood maintained the program and it remains available to US subscribers. Brokerage accounts are held with Robinhood Financial LLC and securities are SIPC-insured up to $500,000.
